It was a monster mash- a graveyard bash… The scene was rockin’, all were digging the sounds- Igor on chains, backed by his baying hounds. The coffin-bangers were about to arrive with their vocal group, – the Drop Daddies!
5:30am is an early call-time for a gig – these sure ain’t rock n roll hours! But for a cause as worthy as finding a cure for Alzheimer’s, the Drop Daddies are in. This was our 4th year participating in the Walnut Creek Walk to End Alzheimer’s , and it was an honor to be invited. They were expecting a record turnout of thousands, and raised over half a million dollars for Alzheimer’s research.More
Jen invited us to help her celebrate her 50th on September 20. We were set up on the pickleball court in a huge Danville backyard.More
We were invited to play August 20 at a block party for the Diablo West Homeowner’s Association. We set up on a beautiful green hillside in Danville on a gorgeous sunny day.More
We were honored to be a part of the Danville 4th of July Parade again this year. It was our second year joining this hometown tradition, and we had a blast. Our wonderful, patient and supportive families joined us to walk the parade and pass out candy. And it was great to see so many friends waving and cheering along the parade route.More
This was our 5th year playing the St Patrick’s Day party at Norm’s Grill in Danville. It was a different kind of party compared to previous years– this time it was on a Friday night instead of Saturday afternoon, and it was off… the… hook!!More
On February 4, 2017, we played the final Saturday-night party at the Outpost in San Ramon. We were there to celebrate over 4 years together as the Drop Daddies, and to honor the end of this memorable watering hole. On Tuesday, after 40 years in business, the Outpost will be closing its doors forever, soon to be demolished to make way for apartments.More
On November 12, 2016, we celebrated Ian’s 50th birthday and his retirement from the FAA as an air traffic controller.
The Bridges Country Club is a beautiful venue, and we had a blast partying with Ian and his family, friends, and soon-to-be-ex coworkers.More
It was a gorgeous sunny October day- perfect for a Fall Carnival. This was our fourth year playing the Twin Creeks Elementary school carnival, and it was a blast, as always.
The Twin Creeks Elementary Chorus (under the direction of Ms Terri Knight) sang a set with us, including Lonely Boy, Surfin Safari, California Sun, Animal and (their favorite) Radioactive. Great job kids!More
